Sometimes it happens that disk check always starts to check the file system on one or more drives for consistency. If any key is pressed, the disk checking is aborted. Actually this is because some data structure of the drive or some file is corrupted which can not be recovered and check disk is always run at Windows startup. Or sometimes it may take several hours for disk checking to scan all the drives. So disabling it or postponing disk check is better. One of the largest updates to Opera in quite a while. The whole look and feel was revamped a bit and it’ll be a little bit of a shock to old users. I haven’t had time to test and check out some of the new features, but I think 9.50 is mostly an attempt to visually differentiate Opera from Firefox and IE.
For those that haven’t tried it, in my experience, Opera offers superior speeds and memory management over both IE and Firefox. Even as an avid and vocal Opera user, I have to admit that it seems Mozilla did a very nice job with the new version. While the verdict isn’t out on many of the performance benchmarks, it is doing significantly better than FF2 did. As an example, FF3 is currently besting Opera 9.5 on the memory usage benchmarks with regards to single/small amounts of tabbed browsing.
