5 Cool Firefox Add-Ons

Nowadays Mozilla Firefox is probably the most popular web browser and its popularity is growing every day.
Except for many other advantages as security, reliability, speed and download manager, add-ons are what makes it so powerful.
There are so many add-ons for Firefox on the web, but I’m discussing here for five of them that I find very useful.

1. Facebook Video – as facebook has became “a must have” account for many people, facebook video is “a must have” add-on for them. Many times you may want to download any embeded video (ex. a funny video or whatever), but you notice thet there is not any download link provided for embeded videos…
Here comes what facebook video add-on does very well: it adds a direct download link and another link if you want to convert the video before download.
Current version is v.2.1.8, compattible with Firefox 2.0 and above.

2. Linkification – turns text links into clicable links so you don’t have to copy-paste a text link into your browser’s address bar, you just click as normally do.
Current version is v.1.3.6 and is fully compattible with all Firefox versions from 1.0 and above.

3. FoxTab – provides a new fascinating and elegant method for finding and selecting a tab in the browser. FoxTab is designed to be suitable for many types of users, those with only few tabs opened and those out there (like me ) who usually have tons of opened tabs to select from. The idea behind FoxTab is to provide new 3D visual methods for quick tab switching.
Current version is v.1.2.1, compattible with Firefox 2.0 – 3.5.*

4. YouTube Video Downloader – it beats all other youtube download softwares. You don’t need anymore to buy software to download from youtube. Just this nice and usefull add-on will work perfectly. While you are watching a video, just click on it’s icon at the bottom right corner of your browser (status bar). Videos can be downloaded in high definition, mp4 or 3gp format (3gp is suitable for most mobile phones).
Corrent version of YouTube Video Downloader add-on is v.0.3.1 compattible with firefox 1.5-3.5.*

5. FireBug – lets you view, inspect or directly edit the source code of any web page. It’s especialy great for those who want to learn HTML or web script. Just go to any wep page then click FireBug ion located at at the bottom right corner of your browser (status bar) and click on “inspect” button. It also allows to pause the script on a web page.

And what’s important, all those add-ons don’t fill up your browser’s space and it will look still clear as if they weren’t installed!
