re Enabling Task Manager from the Run Menu

“Task Manager has been disabled by your administrator” was a shocking new manifestation of the virus I’ve been dealing with since JAN 1, 2009 - started as “pcsecurity-antivirus2009.com” virus.
I’d got partial use of my pc back, but Task Mgr had been a major tool in that effort - so….

Abdullah - whoever you are - you do rock!
Took a chance on your START/RUN/(paste) solution and it worked!
Now if I can just kill the rest of this viral infestation!

Will probably end up with a full reformat/reload.

When i’m about to delete WgaTray

it says:
Cannot delete WgaTray: Access denied.
Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected
and that the file is not currently in use.

It also says tht for WgaLogon.dll

i know that my computer isn’t full or write-protected.
I know it’s in use so idk how to make it not in use. idk how to close it..

Process to delete

C:\Windows\System32\wgatray.exe
C:\Windows\System32\wgalogon.dll

go to your computer program press ctrl+f click all folder and files type wga after that rename the files as

wgatrayold.exe
wgalogonold.dll

now u are able to delete this files it helped me alot thaks friends

Besides this VISTA PC I also operate a Toshiba laptop with XP Professional and today received a notification to Activate the copy with Windows. If I click on YES, the system does not respond, and if I click on NO, the system shuts down. In fact I can not get into the system at all, not even via SAFE mode.
Is there any way to circumvent the log-on scrteen????

Appreciate your help.

all rubish except the 1st….

with the 1st command line u can create a shortcut so u can open close with just a double click.. NO hassle with right click move mouse to cmd click again…. the same for closing…. and no wasting of system resources just for sitting in the systray.

the 1st option can also be used with a keyboard shortcut or put into a batchfile if u want to open more then 1 drive at the same time.. thats for copy-maniacs.

in my portable hard disk i have important data, some viru infected it badly i.e when i chek the disk properties it shows hard disk have data but whenever i used to open it. it shows some unknown extension files with 2kb and one empty folder with name “oooo” if somebody knows solution please help me

Tried using your Smart Virus remover and it work. And it helped me restoring those affected by virus. However I tried write protecting my USB flash drive. Now I couldn’t remove the write protect and it renders my flash drive useless. Whenever I run Smart Virus remover ‘am getting a error pop up window. and would not launch the program. I could I remove the write protect?

i got the this virus & now my registry editor N task manager are disabled.
now i can’t even install any antivirus. if it is installed then it is disabled automatically.
