Nowadays as the trend of Flash drives is increasing, we are getting more used to them. U3 Flash Drives are now becoming popular. U3 drives have the property to present itself to the host system as a USB hub with a CD drive and standard USB mass storage device attached. You will have a launchpad preinstalled on U3 drives. U3 drives can also be password protected easily compared to other drives.
But If there is a problem in your windows system then you could be not use your U3 for any purpose. Some problem that could arise.
If your plug your U3 and a you see a folder opens, or the folder opens when you double click the LaunchU3.exe in the U3 system (CD Drive).
When you double click the Launchpad.exe file you are warned with
You can not run the U3 Launchpad directly. Please click on LaunchU3.exe to open the U3 directly.
This happens if you have made a registry hack to prevent running of Autorun.inf file. Open Notepad and copy paste the following
REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionIniFileMappingAutorun.inf]
save the file as mod.reg file . Double click the file and again merge the file to registry by clicking on yes.
Now restart your computer to take effect.
If you seem some more problems in the Launchpad then you could remove the launchpad.

Hi: I and are inaccessible to my pc. I have one NEW, never used 16 gb Lexar stick drive which also CANNOT be seen by my computer. I have tried all different usb connections on my pc and have just now uninstalled the drives and reinstalled them and am about to try the three devices again.
What is going on. I have observed all the insert/remove hardware instructions so what has to be done to recapture the data on these stick drives ?? I have tried a couple of data-retrieval programs but since the pc cannot even recognize the storage sticks, the retrieval software cannot obviously help.
How about a little help. I have 3 storage devices –2 with important data — that I cannot “see” or use for anything.
Thanks,
J Burket

The first sentence at the beginning of my first email to you was missing the fact that I have 1 2 gb Cruzer drive and one 4 gb
Cruzer that I cannot use as the pc will not recognize them as well as the 16 gb drive you know about.
