A basic problem using Windows is that if you update your windows, all the updates get installed once and when your windows get corrupted due to some viruses or some other problem and you reinstall windows, all the updates are gone. You need to redownload them again and then install them, this wastes a lot of time. Although  when windows download your updates they are all stored under the path

C:WindowsSoftwareDistributionDownload

But with some unknown format. You can use 7-zip to see the original update. A better method is to use Offline Update Generator to get all the updates packed in a dvd iso file.

Microsoft also provides ISO file updates for Windows but they are available as for a specific month, what if you want all the updates. Offline Update Generator is the solution.

It download all your updates once, this may take hours to download your updates. After downloading all the updates it makes one dvd iso file at your root directory.

You can write the dvd using ImgBurn

OR mount it using PowerISO or Ultraiso. The DVD contains a program that will install all the updates your system needs. After installation you simply need to reboot your system and that is.

  The program can download multilingual updates for the following MS products

Office 2000, Office 2003, office 2007, Office XP, Updates, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, Windows Vista, Windows XP

Unfortunately the program does not download updates for Windows 7.May be this feature is available in future versions.
