Worms are spreading very rapidly with the increasing usage of Flash Drives. Even anti-virus some time does not recognize these worms. I have come up with technique to prevent infection from these worms

Bro i used the tool you provided jwgkvsq.vmx (Conflicker) worm. After running the exe all my services for my pc is disabled . and i cant view network adapters thus preventing me from connecting to the internet . help needed

Thanks Muhammad, let me give u more details of wht happend. i downloaded the tool jwgkvsq.vmx and run it, it gave me a msg saying thank you. i shutdown my laptop after 2-3 hours next day i started and found all the key services are stoped, like windows update, server, themes etc.

Fawad to reset all services in Run , type msconfig and select diagnostic startup and then select normal startup, restart your computer

run it in safe mode,then remove the virus. you can switch to safe mode by pressing f8 while booting

May want to check this key/value to see if the contents are still intact (since conficker writes its bogus services to the value)

There should be a bunch of service names listed there.
Also check permissions that administrators & system have at least read privs (and that those groups are still present in the acl list). Normally has full control.
