How to Keep Music Playing When Your Laptop is Closed?

If you own a Windows 10 laptop, you may have heard that you can keep playing music on it even when the lid is closed. It’s true, and in this guide, we will explain how to keep the music playing when your Windows 10 laptop is closed.

A lot of people like to listen to music on their Windows 10 laptops when they are working. Modern laptops can become powerful media centers, and the higher-end laptops have excellent quality speakers where you can enjoy your favorite sounds.

Why doesn’t Your Laptop keep playing music when closed?

With a Windows 10 laptop, you usually have to keep it open to keep playing music. This means that you can see the laptop screen. This is inconvenient if all you want to do is listen to your favorite music.

The reason for this is because when you close your Windows 10 laptop, it automatically enters sleep mode. This saves all of your current laptop activities in memory so that when you open your laptop again, everything will resume quickly as before.

Your laptop only uses a small amount of power to keep everything saved in memory. This means that everything else is effectively shut down temporarily, and this includes your music player. Sleep mode is a good idea because it will conserve battery power.

So, when you close your Windows 10 laptop, it thinks you will not use it for a while. As a result, there is no chance of your music playing because your operating system has temporarily closed it down. The good news is that there is a way around this so that you can keep listening to your music when you close your Windows 10 laptop.
