You need to concentrate to do your best work, which means finding ways to separate your “office” from the rest of your house. Of course, there are times where your work life and home life will inevitably mix, but you also need time where the two are separated.
Having a dedicated working space helps you do this and allows you to get more from your day.

It’s funny when you see pictures in ads of people working from their bed. Imagine how your back would feel if you kept that up for more than 20 minutes.
Sitting in front of a computer for long periods puts a lot of stress on your body, and you need to manage this. The best way to do this is to invest in a good desk and work chair and make sure you stand up frequently throughout the day.
In a centralized office, we’re normally more accustomed to this, but when you’re working from home, it’s easy to get stuck working at the kitchen table, and it’s not good for your health.
Upgrade Your Technology
Make sure you’ve got all the tools you need to get the job done to the best of your abilities.
It might mean making an upfront investment, but in the long run, it’s going to pay off.
Whether it’s finding the right laptop deals or researching the perfect software, it’s important to make sure you’ve got everything you need, and there’s nothing to hold you back.
Ask for What You Need
Don’t be afraid to ask your company for what you need to do your job to the best of your ability.
It’s in your company’s best interests for you to be working at full capacity, so they should be eager to put the structure in place that allows this to happen. If you don’t tell them what you need, it’s more difficult for them to understand how they can help you.
It should be a collaborative process to get you working at peak performance, so don’t be afraid to ask when you need something.
Get Out of the Office
Just because your office is now in your home doesn’t mean you have to stay there all day and all night. It’s important you put down your work at the end of the day and can switch back to your personal life.
It’s also important to get out of the house during the day. Chaining yourself to your desk isn’t the most efficient way to work, and you’ll find you get more done if you space things out with good breaks.
