AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS Mobile Processors with Radeon Graphics

The new AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS is a mobile processor which is capable of simultaneously processing 8 cores (16 threads only), making it the most versatile and powerful performance-focused mobile processor in its generation of AMD chips. The 5980HS comes equipped with AMD’s latest Zen 3 architecture which delivers outstanding single-core performance while delivering multi-core responsiveness, all while maintaining unbeatable efficiency so you get more done on battery power. It is a highly integrated system-on-chip with a sophisticated architecture design. The processor uses AMD’s Infinity Fabric technology for efficient inter-CCX communication.

The default thermal design power (TDP) of the Ryzen 9 5980HS is rated at 35W and it has a base clock frequency of 3.0GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 4.8GHz. Besides, its cores are built using TSMC 7nm FinFET technology which makes it a very powerful processor. It also comes with very fast memory speed controllers which are able to operate at up to 3200MHz for DDR4 and 4266MHz for LPDDR4. Furthermore, the chip comes with multiple options for PCIe 3.0 that can support a maximum storage capacity of 1TB. The cores are also assigned 4MB L2 and 16MB L3 cache memory which plays part in boosting the CPU’s performance when need be.

The processor supports a multiplicity (x86) in different platforms such as Windows 10, Android, and Linux operating systems. The processor’s operating system is Windows 10 Home 64-bit edition. The AMD Ryzen 5980HX also features an integrated AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics with 8 compute units operating at a maximum graphics frequency of up to 2100MHz. Apart from all these features, there are other added advantages in the 5980HS which include minimal power consumption, low temperatures when in use, and high-frequency control to make the CPU very responsive.

The AMD Ryzen 9 5980HS is a very fast processor and it performs very well. It delivers smooth and reliable performance, all the way from productivity to gaming. It’s a very unique product with many unique features that set it apart from other processors.
