Smart Virus Remover 1.43.1

by Muhammad Abdullah in Security,Software,Troubleshooting,Windows on June 23, 2008

Depending on the function of the program, I have changed the name of Smart Anti-Virus to Smart Virus Remover. Since it was not a complete Anti-Virus product.

In the new 1.43.1 version some modification are :

The display of infected files. Now you can select which file to delete or which to not. Finally some bugs are removed.

now i cant see any files…its empty,
although the properties shows the disk has the data.
help will be appreciated, this thing has rendered my drive useless…

the files are there, but cant see them, and no they’re not hidden files…all files have dissappeared, after i cleaned up the drive with this tool…

Great utility.

Tried a dozen tools when trying to remove the ‘Nhatquanglan’ virus which creates ‘New Folder.exe’ and disables some windows functions, but failed in all attempts. In the end the ‘Smart Virus Remover’ worked like charm for me.

It also discovered many other trojans on my computer and removed them in an instant.

Thanks a lot.

I used this tool on a vista computer, but after that neither has been the regsvr.exe or newfolder.exe removed from my USB flash disk, now I am not able to access any of the USB drives on my computer (six) as it says it is locked. I tried to do an unlock but it still does not work. Any help is much appreciated.

It’s amazing how the author doesn’t answer this question!

How do you uninstall this program?

I mean, it’s nothing weird or complex — I want to remove it without doing it by-hand. Did you perhaps forgot to include an uninstallation script?

Reply

27 Sanix February 7, 2009 at 11:50 am

xfx, uninstalling Smart Virus Remover is really easy. You just have to delete the folder where Smart Virus Remover is installed. That’s all. Smart Virus Remover doesn’t affect any registry or any other system file so you can safely remove the installation folder.

OMG! everyone don’t hesitate to download this program!
it solves my task manager problem like charm!

Reply

29 Nairam February 14, 2009 at 7:51 am

Yes, why is this program not uninstalled anymore? and it even includes Antivirus2008 and 2009 in their site? Could this be another virus?

Reply

30 Sanix February 18, 2009 at 6:55 pm

Nairam the technical reason behind not giving an uninstaller is that some viruses don’t let the executable run and creates problems in cleaning the viruses. If you want to remove Smart Virus Remover, you can simply delete the folder of Smart Virus Remover.

man, if ur task manager is not working. a great replacement would be the application called “task killer” just look for it on ur browser. search “task killer.exe”… after u install it u would even the virus’ program running and u can kill it’s process which will enable u to use ur browser back to normal. and if u have funny things on ur flash drives I suggest u look for the application called “flash disinfector” u also just have to search for it on ur browser and download it. I hope this can be of a good help to you…thanks!

Reply

38 Sanix May 24, 2009 at 10:07 am

@hide: task killer and flash disinfector both are good but the problem is that they won’t get rid of the actual viruses while Smart Virus Remover first removes the virus and then restores the Windows settings.

I’m having trouble fixing my tools option in Windows that allows you to go into the folder options menu. I’ve looked at your post about it and found that it didn’t work for me, and I can’t seem to find a way to download this, the link seems broken or dead. hopefully you can fix it soon, I would very much appreciate it. Thanks in advance

THANK YOU!!!!!

I finally fixed it!, I spent hours trying to remove this virus that does not allow me to see my hidden files..

First: I applied “PeeTechFix-Win32.PSW.OnlineGame 2.0.7″ (this killed the virus, just search in google to find where to download it)

Second: keep running “smart virus remover” and “autorun eater” software.
